Magnetic Force on an Electron Beam Circular Orbit

The circular trajectory of electrons in uniform magnetic field is shown in this fine beam tube. The path is made visible by light emitted when some of the electrons collide with atoms of a low pressure gas in the tube. The magnetic field is provided by a pair of Helmholtz coils. (This apparatus requires a very dark room for the beam to be visible).
