Faraday’s Law and Lenz’s Law

A projection galvanometer displays the current induced in a coil due to changing magnetic flux through the coil. The changing flux is produced in any one of several ways: by moving a permanent magnet relative to the coil; by establishing a current in a second coil and moving one coil relative to the other; by varying the magnitude of the current in the second coil. Introducing the second coil provides a lead in to the discussion of mutual induction.
